Channing Tatum Says He Would Kill Kittens To Make A Gambit Movie, Gives Hopeful Update

Actor Channing Tatum has joked that he would do all manner of unspeakable things, including killing kittens, to be able to make a standalone Gambit movie. Tatum was going to play Gambit in such a film, but it was scuttled after Disney acquired the character’s theatrical rights from Fox, Tatum explained in a recent interview. But the film could now be back on, or at least Tatum believes it’s headed in the right direction. This story contains spoilers for Deadpool & Wolverine. Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Tatum said he worked on the Gambit movie for six years, and when it was on the “one-yard line,” Disney took over and everything changed.”We were about to make the movie, and then Fox got bought by Disney,” Tatum said. The actor went on to…

First The Mandalorian And Grogu Footage Revealed At D23

It’s been almost five years since a Star Wars movie was in theaters, but that’s going to change in 2026 when The Mandalorian & Grogu arrives just in time for the 49th anniversary of the franchise. At D23, fans discovered that the film has already started production, and the first footage was screened for the crowd.Because the movie has only been shooting for a few weeks, there wasn’t a lot to show off. Lucasfilm started with a flashback to the first meeting of Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin and Grogu from the first episode of The Mandalorian. From there, we saw a glimpse of their further adventures, which include going up against an AT-AT.Grogu still leaves the shooting to his daddy, but they also spend some quiet time together to share some soup. Zeb from Star Wars Rebels briefly shows up …

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Reanimates A Messy Classic

When Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster (DRDR) was revealed, I was confused–despite its name–about whether to consider it a remaster or a remake. The line has become increasingly blurred in recent years, with things like the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and The Last of Us Part I being called remakes even though they seem to be more akin to admittedly extravagant coats of new paint. After several hours with DRDR, it’s now clear to me that this is a project much like those two examples. It’s inch-by-inch faithful to the original in most ways, and includes some great quality-of-life updates, but also retains the original game’s faults. And yet, when I’m playing it, I can’t shake the feeling that it remains an imperfect classic.

At long last, Ganondorf is getting the Figma figure treatment. Pair that with other optional parts for different poses and an arsenal of deadly wea…

A Halloween Game Powered By Unreal Engine 5 Is In Development, Gamer John Carpenter Is Involved

You can’t keep a good slasher IP down for long, as the Halloween film series will be returning in the form of two new games. These new projects–one of which is being developed in Unreal Engine 5–will be made with input from Halloween’s original director John Carpenter, and both of them are being produced at Boss Team, the studio behind the recent Evil Dead: The Video Game.”As a huge gamer myself, I’m thrilled to help bring Michael Myers to life again in this game, and my hope is to scare you silly,” Carpenter said to IGN, adding that he’ll be “intimately involved” with the development of the games. Beyond that, Boss Studios is teasing that players will be able to “relive” moments from the film and play as classic characters.

Scuf Instinct Pro Xbox And PC Controller Drops To Lowest Price Yet

Camouflage prints on controllers are an oddly popular design choice, and if you’re a fan of this look, you can get a Scuf Instinct Pro controller sporting a unique black tiger color scheme for just $156 at Best Buy. This particular model released at Best Buy last November, so this is a massive $84 discount for a great Xbox wireless controller that regularly sells for $240. Admittedly, the list price is too high considering the Xbox Elite Series 2 costs $180, but the deal price makes it more reasonable. While it has all the usual features you’d expect from a wireless device, the Scuf Instinct Pro also has a few more tricks up its metaphorical sleeve to make it a tempting purchase for gamers looking for a more professional device. What If Robert Downey Jr. Isn't Really Avengers 4's Dr. Doom? Here's How It Could Happen

During what could easily be considered the main event of San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios announced that Robert Downey Jr., the actor who helped kick off the MCU as Tony Stark, will be returning to Marvel Cinematic Universe. The big twist, though, is that he will be returning not as Tony Stark, but as Victor von Doom, perhaps Marvel Comics’ single greatest villain. For a company who would rather reboot or memorialize a character than recast them, casting the same actor in two very prominent roles seems like a very strange move. And that’s why we think it’s possible that this is one big misdirect.. Robert Downey Jr. may be playing Victor von Doom, but what if he’s not playing the Victor von Doom.Of course, keep in mind that we don’t have any secret spies at Marvel Studios, a spe…

Texas Chain Saw Massacre Dev Addresses The Game Leaving Xbox Game Pass

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (TCM) is approaching its first anniversary. When it launched on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms on August 18 last year, it also landed in Xbox Game Pass. That advantageous position helped the game climb to over 4 million players in its first month. With the game soon exiting Game Pass, the TCM community has been… let’s say gloomy about it on social media. Some suggest the game can’t survive without the players coming from Xbox’s subscription service, and others, unaware of how Game Pass deals work, wonder why the game is leaving the service at all.

Arkane Founder Reflects On Austin Studio's Closure: "The People Survive"

Prey and Redfall developer Arkane Austin became a casualty of a particularly brutal year of layoffs and studio closures, as one of four studios Microsoft closed down in May this year. Arkane founder Raphael Colantonio has said he was saddened by the closure–but he doesn’t think the studio’s unique brand of immersive sim is going anywhere.”It’s sad, of course,” Colantonio said in an interview with PC Gamer. “I wanted to see our game going forever, for obvious reasons. But the company is [gone], but not the people. The people survive.”The Arkane founder discussed the history of the company and the genre itself, pointing to Looking Glass Studios, which he described as “the originator of the immersive sim.” Despite shuttering in 2000, Looking Glass released a number of influential games inclu…
